    • A multipurpose marine life container (21) having a closed chamber defined by a pair of substantially identical clam shell-type housing halves (24) opening toward each other and removably joined together (138, 140) along a parting line. An entrance opening (58, 60, 62) is formed in each end wall of the container by a pair of half openings opening toward each other along the parting line. Each end wall (16, 18) supports a rotatable disk (40) that includes three inwardly opening entry funnel areas (44, 46, 48) as well as a closed area rotatable into and out of registry with the corresponding entrance opening. Hollow tubes (72) with air tight closures are removably secured lengthwise through the container to provide buoyancy, weighting and reinforcement for the container. The opposite sides of the container include large openings which are selectively closed by cantilever supported doors (92) swingable by gravity to the open positions and releasably latchable (106) in the closed positions. A lifting bridle (97) for the container can be attached to the free swinging edges of the doors whereby the doors may be closed by a lifting line. The opposite side doors are each pivotally mounted from the hollow tubes.

    • A bait container (20) has a housing (22), a top (28) and bottom (24) which at least partially surround the bait. A nozzle (30) having a funnel portion (32) and a bait-dispensing exit end extends from the top. A flow-inducement chamber (40) permits a flow stream to be created which carries the bait into the bait-restraining exit end (34) of the nozzle (30) when the container (20) is tipped. The fluid will drain through primary flow passages (42) into the flow-inducement chamber (40) and out of the chamber back into the housing (26) through a secondary flow passage (44). A strap (39) permits the container to be suspended from a shoulder or waist of the fisherman. A stopper (50) keeps the bait in the bait-dispensing portion (34) until the fisherman is ready to dispense the bait into her/his hand. An insert (62) for the exit end of the nozzle (34) can permit different size bait to be dispensed one at a time.
