    • There is disclosed a cutting system for multiple blade assemblies, each blade assembly (22a, 22b, 22c) including a motor (32), with each motor independently operable with respect to each other motor, and thus, each motor is capable of being controlled independently of the other motors, so as to rotate the respective blades at different speeds, to produce a sharp, robust cut. The blade assemblies are arranged so as to define a cutting system of a length shorter than the combined length of all of the blade lengths if added together. Also disclosed is a blade assembly, where the user can engage or disengage the blade from the motor with his hands alone, absent tools. The components that form this blade assembly are configured so as to automatically align, whereby the blade of the resultant assembled blade assembly is balanced, for proper operation during cutting.
