    • The present invention relates to a housing (1) for a steering system, in particular a steering gear housing for a power-assisted steering system of a vehicle, comprising a first housing part (2) and a second housing part (3). The first housing part (2) has a first flange surface (4) which, when the housing (1) is axially mounted, is located opposite of a second flange surface (5) of the second housing part (3), a sealing means (6) being located therebetween. In order to provide a housing for a steering system, in particular a steering gear housing for a power-assisted steering system of a vehicle, the production and assembly complexity of which are reduced, the sealing means (6) is a liquid sealing means (6) injected via at least one channel (7) in the first or second housing part (2, 3). In the region (8) of the first and second flange surfaces (4, 5), on an axial side (9) of the sealing means (6) the housing parts (2, 3) have a larger radial width (A) at the full circumference (10) thereof than the radial width (a) on the other axial side (11) of the sealing means (6). When the housing (1) is assembled, the side (11) having the smaller radial width (a) of the one housing part (3) faces the side (9) having the larger radial width (A) of the other housing part (2).
