摘要： The present invention provides a device for the detection of a peroxide-based explosive, in particular, triacetone triperoxide (TATP), which is based on a molecular controlled semiconductor resistor (MOCSER) and composed of at least one insulating or semi-insulating layer, at least one conducting semiconductor layer, two conducting pads and a layer of multifunctional organic molecules capable of adsorbing molecules of said peroxide-based explosive. The invention further provides an array of semiconductor devices for the selective detection of a peroxide-based explosive, as well as a method for the selective detection of vapors of a peroxide-based explosive in a gaseous mixture using said array.

摘要： A system and method are described, for use in determining parameters of chiral molecules. The system comprising: an electrode comprising an adsorption surface, and at least first and second pairs of electrical contacts defining respectively first and second axes of electrical path being substantially perpendicular to between them, wherein said adsorption surface is configured for adsorption of a plurality of molecules to be tested; a field generating unit configured to selectively apply electric field onto said adsorption surface of said electrode; and a control unit comprising at least a power source utility and a voltage detection utility and configured to generate and transmit electrical current through said electrode via said first pair of electrical contact. The control unit further operates the field generating unit to apply selected electric field onto said electrode, and determine data about resulting Hall voltage between said second pair of electrical contacts. The data about resulting Hall voltage being indicative of chirality of said plurality of molecules.

The spin selective device further includes a second layer coupled to the first layer. The system comprises a container having a bottom surface defining a first plane, the container including at least two planar magnetic surfaces being arranged in a spaced-apart manner along a first plane and being substantially parallel to a second plane; a magnetization vector of each of the magnetic surfaces being perpendicularly to the surface, wherein the container is configured such that the first plane is substantially perpendicularly to the second plane; wherein a cavity formed in between the planar magnetic surfaces is configured to accommodate a racemic mixture including different enantiomers such that each magnetic surface interacts differently with each of the different enantiomers to thereby enable enantio-selective crystallization. Therefore, the system of the present invention is based on enantio-separation of the crystals using magnetic surfaces.

The sensitivity of the method allows the detection of few molecules (down to a single one) independent on the concentration of the sample.
