    • A modular communication system (21), particularly for interior space-dividing wall panels (12) which are serially-connected together to define a plurality of adjacent workstations (16). The modular communication system (21) comprises a plurality of elongate main distribution modules (22) which serially couple together and extend throughout a raceway (14) defined by said panels (12), each said main distribution modules (22) including an elongate intermediate cable (31) having a connector unit (32) at each end thereof, said cable defining a plurality of multi-conductor telecommunication links extending longitudinally therethrough and terminating at the connector units (32). The interconnected main distribution modules (22) define one or more access ports which each access at least one, but less than all, of the telecommunication links which extend throughout the serially-connected distribution modules (22). A tap-off module (23) having a tap-off part engageable with one of the access ports for connection with the telecommunication link has a plurality of contacts which are engageable with contacts provided at the access port and a cable connected to the contacts of the tap-off part and projecting away therefrom and being provided with an outlet connected to the other end thereof.

    • An office chair (10A) includes a seat (16) and a backrest (17) that are pivotally connected together at a pivot axis (24) such that the back¬ rest (17) can pivot with respect to the seat (16) between an upright position and a reclining position. The seat (16) is mounted on a base (13) such that the seat (16) can move with respect to a base (13), and the seat (16) includes front (18) and rear portions (19) that can pivot with respect to one another. When the backrest (17) is pivoted from the upright position to the reclining position, both of the seat (16) and the pivot axis (24) move forward with respect to said base (13), and the seat front portion (18) flexes with respect to the seat rear portion (19) such that the angle between said upward faces of said seat front portion (18) and the seat rear portion (19) increases. The backrest (17) may also include an upper portion (21) and a lower portion (22) that can pivot with respect to one another. When the backrest (17) is moved to the recline position, the angle between the forward faces of the upper (21) and lower backrest portions (22) decreases.
