    • A rotary throttle valve for a carburetor may include a body and a throttle lever integrally formed with the body in one piece. The body may be generally cylindrical and adapted to be received in a cylindrical valve bore of a carburetor for rotation within and relative to the valve bore, and the body includes a valve passage through which air flows. The throttle lever is integrally formed with the body and adapted to be coupled to a driver that rotates the throttle valve. Among other things, by being integrally formed from the same piece of material as the valve body, the throttle lever can be accurately aligned with the valve body, and hence, the valve bore in which the body is received in use.

    • In at least some implementations, a diaphragm for a fluid pump includes a first layer formed from a first material that inhibits or prevents vapor permeation through the diaphragm, and a second layer coupled to the first layer and formed from a second material different than the first material. The first material may include at least one of fluoropolymers, perfluoroalkoxy (PFA), polyfluoroethylenepropylene (FEP), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), liquid crystal polymers, nylons, thin metal foil or film, or ethylene vinyl alcohol, and the fluoropolymer may be a fluoroelastomer. The first layer may be continuous and without perforations in an area of the diaphragm adapted to be exposed to a fluid. The first layer may include a base material and a coating that prevents vapor permeation therethrough. The second material may include at least one of NBR rubber, H-NBR, NBR coated or impregnated fiber or nylon materials, or a fluoroelastomer.

    • A carburetor may include a main body including a fuel and air mixing passage and a fuel bowl having a latch and a body defining a fuel chamber. The body is imperforate and the latch engages the main body to at least in part retain the fuel bowl on the main body. In at least some implementations, the fuel bowl is formed from plastic and the main body is formed from metal. The fuel bowl may include a mount outboard of and spaced from the fuel chamber and the mount is held against the main body. A strainer cup may be carried by the main body and include a trap surface that holds the mount against the main body to simplify retention of the fuel bowl against the main body.
