摘要： Radiant fired heaters used with reactors are described. The apparatus includes at least two sets of radiant fired heaters, the first set being at a second height less than the first height. Each set of radiant fired heaters comprises at least one radiant fired heater. Each radiant fired heater has at least one process coil disposed within the heater, burners, and a flue gas outlet. There is at least one inlet manifold having an inlet and multiple outlets, with each outlet of the inlet manifold in fluid communication with one process coil inlet. There is an outlet manifold having multiple inlets and an outlet, with the multiple inlets in fluid communication with the process coil outlets. A method of selecting a reforming apparatus arrangement is also described.

摘要： Adsorption vessels and systems utilizing adsorption vessels are provided herein. In one embodiment, an adsorption vessel for receiving a fluid mixture and for separating a component from therein includes a vessel wall extending from a bottom end to a top end and defining a vessel chamber. A bottom inlet is formed in the bottom end of the adsorption vessel for introducing the fluid mixture to the vessel chamber. Further, a support plate is positioned in the vessel chamber above the bottom end, and defines a bottom void volume between the support plate and the bottom end. A filler material having a total porosity of less than 25% is positioned in the bottom void volume and defines a channel for flow of the fluid mixture from the bottom inlet to the support plate.

摘要： A process for pyrolysis of a mixed plastic stream that contains polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is provided in which the chloride from PVC is removed from an initial melting reactor that melts the mixed plastic stream. Chloride is removed in a vapor stream from the initial melting reactor with additional chloride removed from addition of sorbents to the pyrolysis reactor and in adsorbent beds downstream of the pyrolysis reactor. The pyrolysis reactor has a configuration comprising two cylindrical ring structures, an inner cylindrical ring structure within an outer cylindrical ring structure wherein a circulation liquid supply stream enters said pyrolysis reactor tangentially relative to a ring edge of said two cylindrical ring structures and wherein solid particles move in a downward direction to a bottom of the pyrolysis reactor.

摘要： Embodiments of vessels including liquid drain pipes are provided, as are embodiments of methods for draining liquid from reactor internals. In one embodiment, the vessel includes a vessel shell, a tray mounted within the vessel shell and over which liquid accumulates up to a maximum liquid level during vessel operation, and a liquid drain pipe. The liquid drain pipe includes a tubular body attached to the tray and projecting upward therefrom, a vapor inlet formed in the tubular body above the maximum liquid level, a liquid inlet formed in the tubular body between the maximum liquid level and the tray, and a drainage port formed in the tubular body and positioned to direct accumulated liquid above the tray to an area below the tray to permit the drainage of accumulated liquid from over the tray during vessel shutdown.

摘要： The hydroprocessing reactor quench zone internals comprise a collection tray, a mixing chamber, a ring quench distributer, a rough liquid distribution tray, and a vapor-liquid distribution tray. The rough liquid distribution tray has a central pan for receiving vapor and liquid out of the mixing chamber and multiple fluid distribution troughs attached to the central pan that extended radially outwards with the outer end close to the reactor shell. The fluid distribution troughs can include at least one longitudinal baffle, or at least one cross baffle, or both, and optionally an end baffle. The baffles improve the liquid and/or vapor flow in the rough liquid distribution tray.
