摘要： Methods of inhibiting plant parasitic nematodes, methods of obtaining transgenic plants useful for inhibiting such nematodes, and transgenic plants that are resistant to plant parasitic nematodes through inhibition of plant nematode CLE peptide receptor genes are provided. Methods for expressing genes at plant parasitic nematode feeding sites with plant nematode CLE peptide receptor gene promoters are also provided, along with nematode CLE peptide receptor gene promoters that are useful for expressing genes in nematode feeding sites as well as transgenic plants and nematode resistant transgenic plants comprising the promoters.

摘要： A method of optimizing decoding of MPEG4 compliant coded signals is provided, comprising: disabling processing for non-main profile sections; performing reference frame padding; performing adaptive motion compensation. The method of decoding further including performing fast IDCT wherein an IDCT process is performed on profile signals but no IDCT is performed based on whether a 4x4 block may be all zero, or only DC transform coefficient is non-zero, and including CAVLC encoding of residual data. Reference frame padding comprises compensating for motion vectors extending beyond a reference frame by adding to at least the length and width of the reference frame. Adaptive motion compensation includes original block size compensation processing for chroma up to block sizes of 16 x 16.

摘要： The nucleotide sequence of a 992 bp region of cDNA and the nucleotide sequence of a 1973 bp (or a 1913 bp) of genomic DNA of the Gr-cm-1 gene were determined for G. rostochiensis. PCR primers and probes specific for G. rostochiensis and G pallida were generated. PCR assays, including a real-timeTaqMan PCR were used to identify G rostochiensis and G pallida and to differentiate G rostochiensis from G pallida. Transgenic hairy roots expressing Gr-cm-1 dsRNA were generated. There was a 52% reduction in the average number of females per root in the Gr-cm-1 dsRNA transgenic lines when compared with the infected control lines.

More specifically, disclosed herein are methods for diagnosing, treating, and monitoring subjects with HPV-infected and/or cancer cells. Embodiments disclosed herein relate to methods of reducing the presence of cancer cells (e.g. a tumor by contacting these cells with a miR-34a nucleic acid where it is internalized and subsequently targets cell-cycle regulatory genes such as pl8Ink4c, CDK4, and cyclin E). More embodiments relate to methods of restoring apoptosis in cancer cells. Additional embodiments relate to methods of increasing the amount of a miR-34a nucleic acid in cancer cells. Still more embodiments relate to methods of reducing the presence of pl 8Ink4c in a HPV-infected cell and methods of monitoring the amount of mi-R34a in a subject.
