摘要： A transportable and erectable stairtower (410, 510) having a removable/slidable wheel carriage (450, 466, 470, 554) and a removable installation section (420) arranged for transporting and erecting the stairtower. The stairtower (410, 510) has vertical column members (412, 512) and lateral members (414, 514) defining levels of the stairtower (410, 510). Removable staircases (418, 434, 436, 534, 536), extend between alternate levels of lateral members (414, 514). A platform landing (438) is formed at the intersection of first (434) and second (436) stair segments of the staircase. Removable ramps (480) may be connected to the stairtower above, below, and at a position corresponding to the platform landings. A safety device in the form of catch pans (440, 496), gutters (442), and leaders (444) may be provided to protect workers by collecting debris and rainwater. A transporting vehicle may be connected to the installation section to transport the stairtower to a desired location. A lifting vehicle (460) may be used to lift the stairtower from a horizontal to a vertical orientation.
