Thereafter, the first station receives an incoming first image of a second audience member at a second station of the telepresence system, along with second orientation data indicative of an orientation of the second audience member relative to a first image capture device at the second station. The first station processes the first image for display on a selected one of the first and second image display devices, in accordance with the first and second orientation data so upon display, the image of the second audience appears to coexist in superposition with an image of the first audience member in a common environment.

The region is coextensive with a first integer number of pixels in a particular resolution, and with a second integer number of pixels in a second resolution. The attribute is specific to the region and to a combination resolution determined as a combination of the particular resolution and the second resolution. The attribute is converted to provide an attribute specific to the particular resolution. The converted attribute is associated with the first integer number of pixels. Other implementations use the converted attribute in post-processing operations, such as, for example, subtitle placement using disparity information.

摘要： A method and apparatus are described for monitoring frame alignment status and correcting misalignment for film (500) in a stereoscopic 3D projection system, in which gap indicia (530, 531, 532; 540, 541, 542) are provided onto the film in a gap (521; 522) between images, whether the images (L1, R1; L2, R2) belong to the same frame (111, 112) or different adjacent frames (112, 113). Thus, gap indicia are positioned in at least one of an interframe gap (522) and an intraframe gap (521) of the stereoscopic film (500). During projection of the film, presence or absence of the gap indicia is used to determine a frame alignment status. Frame misalignment is then easily diagnosed and corrected. Characteristics of the gap indicia are modified for improving frame alignment diagnosis.
