摘要： GI tract treatment and monitoring devices configured for temporary implantation in the GI tract and non-invasive removal via natural body processes are disclosed. Methods of implantation, treatment and monitoring with disclosed devices are also disclosed. Devices include bio-active fixation that allows removal from the body by natural processes after a time that may be engineered in the fixation elements. In some embodiments, devices are configured to be implanted on GI tract tissue and transmurally migrate into the GI tract to be passed from the body. In other embodiments, devices are configured for placement within the GI tract via a delivery tube such as an NJ/NG tube. Embodiments include stimulation devices for treating conditions such as ileus and sensors for monitoring GI leaks and/or biological or chemical markers for various GI tract conditions.

摘要： Mechanical circulatory support systems and methods are disclosed herein. In some examples, the present technology comprises a system for providing cardiac support to a patient where the system comprises a first elongated shaft configured to receive a delivery catheter therethrough, a second elongated shaft, and a pressure source coupled to the first and second elongated shafts. The first elongated shaft may have a distal end portion configured to be intravascularly positioned at a first cardiovascular location, and the second elongated shaft may have a distal end portion configured to be intravascularly positioned at a second cardiovascular location downstream of the first location. Pressure generated by the pressure source pulls blood from the first location proximally through the first shaft to the pressure source, then pushes the blood distally through the second shaft and into circulatory flow at the second cardiovascular location, thereby providing mechanical circulatory support to the patient.

摘要： The present technology is directed to the treatment of cardiac valves. Many embodiments of the present technology comprise an anchor member configured to be positioned at an implantation site proximate a native valve annulus. The anchor member may comprise an expandable structure having a first portion and a second portion. When the first portion is positioned at the implantation site at body temperature and released from a constrained delivery state, the first portion is configured to self-expand into apposition with tissue at or near the annulus to secure the anchor member at the implantation site. The second portion remains in a low-profile state at or around body temperature and is configured to expand into apposition with tissue at or near the annulus when heated above a second temperature greater than the first temperature and body temperature.

摘要： A method of treating a patient's joint having opposing joint surfaces includes providing an elongate member having a proximal end, a distal end and an expandable member near the distal end. The expandable member is positioned in the joint between the joint surfaces and expanded so as to separate the joint surfaces away from one another into a distracted position. The joint is manipulated while in the distracted position so that the joint is distracted and in flexion. A diagnostic or therapeutic procedure is then performed on the joint while maintaining the joint in the flexed and distracted position.
