    • The overexpression of an ABC half-transporter, ABCG2 (MXR/BCRP) transporter causes multidrug resistance in tumors. The present invention is based on the in vitro expression of the ABCG2 protein in insect cells as an expression system free of other, closely related, functional ABC transporters. In particular, the invention is related to a method for testing drugs for their effect on ABCG2 protein, method for the expression of active ABCG2, isolated ABCG2 homooligomers, preferably homodimers and uses thereof for testing drugs. The invention is further related to cell membrane preparations and cells, preferably insect cells comprising active ABCG2 and reagent kits for testing drugs for their effect on an ABCG2 half transporter protein. The invention is also related to a method for identifying ABCG2 activity in a biological sample, utilizing its substrate/inhibitor specificity.

    • The invention relates to an exercise chair comprising a foot, a seat and an upper body support member, wherein a ball and socket joint is provided between the foot (2) and the chair seat (1). The ball and socket joint comprises a ball head (4) and a socket (5) being provided with a spherical hole, and is preferably provided with means for limiting its swivelling motion. There may be foot rests (12), preferably stirrups connected to the seat (1) and the upper body support member (8) may be formed as a handhold (10). Another object of the invention is a swivelling unit for converting a conventional chair to an exercise chair. It comprises a lower plate (14) to be fixed on the support rod of the conventional chair and an upper plate (15) to be fixed to the bottom of the seat of the conventional chair, wherein there is a ball and socket joint between the lower plate (14) and the upper plate (15).

    • The subject of the invention is a variable-volume rotary device with a housing (1) comprising an inner spherical cavity, inlet and exhaust ports and a bypass flow path. Within the housing (1) a rotary displacement member with spherical outer configurations capable of revolving around the center point of the spherical inner surface of the housing is mounted. Said rotary displacement member is equipped with a centrally disposed, disc-shaped partition (6) that forms a mutually isolated division in the spherical inner cavity of the housing (1) and has two pivot vanes (7, 8), splitting the housing cavity further into four isolated quadrants, the volume of which vary during gyration.     • The invention relates to a toilet seat with built in body weight meter, being con-nected to a bowl by hinge bearings and having force sensors and force trans-mitting elements on the lower side, wherein the force sensors are connected to a display. According to the invention the hinge bearings (3) comprise two bear-ing pins (6) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the toilet seat (2) and one bearing pin (8) parallel with the longitudinal axis of toilet seat (2) and the force transmitting elements (1) are independently adjustable in vertical and/or hori-zontal direction.
