    • The present invention relates to an antenna comprising multiple array elements with a first and second feeding point, each associated with orthogonal polarizations, each array element has a first and second phase centre each associated with the orthogonal polarizations, the first and second phase centres of said array elements are arranged in at least two columns, and one antenna port connected to the first and second feeding points of at least two array elements with first phase centre and second phase centre arranged in the at least two columns via a respective feeding network. The feeding network comprises a beam forming network having a primary connection, connected to the antenna port, and at least four secondary connections. The beam forming network divides power between the first feeding point and the second feeding point and controls phase shift differences between the respective feeding points with phase centre arranged in different columns.

    • The present invention relates to methods for adjusting a radiation beam pattern of an antenna arrangement providing coverage in an area. The antenna arrangement comprises an antenna having at least one array of antenna elements connected to a distribution network configured to generate the radiation beam pattern. The method comprises: arranging the antenna elements of said array in at least one column in an antenna plane in relation to a reference plane, each column comprising multiple antenna elements arranged in at least two sub-panels; arranging a motion sensor to the antenna arrangement, said motion sensor is configured to detect deviation of the antenna elements relative the reference plane; and adjusting a beam shape of the radiation beam pattern based on the detected deviation of the antenna to maintain coverage in the area by controlling the distribution network. The invention also relates to an antenna arrangement and base station.

    • The invention provides an antenna arrangement for a wireless communication system arranged to have at least one transmit mode and at least one receive mode, the arrangement comprising at least three directional antennas (601, 602, 603) in an antenna configuration. Each directional antenna is arranged to have an azimuthal radiation pattern shaped as a beam, each beam covering an angular sector, such that a combined radiation pattern of all beams in a first transmit mode is arranged to provide a full 360° omnidirectional coverage. By combining localization and polarization (P1, P2) of the directional antennas an omnidirectional radiation pattern substantially without null-depths in the azimuthal plane can be created when the radiation pattern of the directional antennas are combined. The invention also provides a corresponding method and a base station for communication with mobile terminals in a telecommunications network equipped with the antenna arrangement.
