摘要： A power amplifier circuit for providing an amplified signal is provided. The power amplifier circuit comprises a main amplifier circuit comprising a main amplifier configured to amplify an input signal in one of a full-power mode and at least a back-off mode, a first peak amplifier circuit in parallel with the main amplifier circuit, the first peak amplifier circuit comprising a peak amplifier in series with a transmission line, the peak amplifier configured to be activated in the full-power mode and to be de-activated in at least the back-off mode, and a combining node connected to an output of the main amplifier circuit and an output of the transmission line. In some embodiments, the amplifier circuit further comprises a matching network connected at the output of the combining node, wherein the matching network is selected to match a combined load of the main amplifier circuit and the peak amplifier circuit in full power mode over a wide frequency band. In some embodiments, the transmission line is selected such that the first peak amplifier circuit appears substantially as an open circuit to the combining node.

摘要： A method and system for design and implementation of symmetric and asymmetric Doherty power amplifiers are disclosed. Quarter wave transmission lines are interposed between the main and peak power amplifiers of a Doherty power amplifier system and a 3d B hybrid coupler. The impedances of the quarter wavelength transmission lines are chosen based on a ratio of the power ratings of the main and peak power amplifiers such that the impedances seen by the main and peak power amplifiers is independent of the impedance of the 3dB coupler.

摘要： A method and system for sharing an analog-to-digital (A/D) converter in a transceiver are disclosed. The disclosure provides a frequency division duplex (FDD) radio and a time division duplex (TDD) transceiver. The FDD or TDD radio includes at least one transceiver. Each transceiver has a transmitter observation receiver (TOR) configured to produce a first analog signal. A receiver circuit is configured to produce a second analog signal. The signal paths of the TOR and the receiver circuit are continuously closed paths not sharing any elements in common and not divided into I and Q channels. A shared A/D converter is configured to receive the analog signals from all of the TORs and receiver circuits of the transceivers and converts these signals to digital signals.
