    • A method in a network node (115A-C, 120, 130) comprises providing (604) to a user equipment (110A-C) a dedicated physical control channel (DPCCH), the DPCCH having an associated first fractional dedicated physical channel (F-DPCH) for conveying transmit power control commands to the user equipment for power controlling the DPCCH, and providing (608) to the user equipment a secondary dedicated physical control channel (S- DPCCH) (502), the S-DPCCH comprising an uplink control channel for communicating transmit power control commands, the S-DPCCH having an associated second F-DPCH for conveying transmit power control commands to the user equipment for power controlling the S-DPCCH. The method comprises receiving (612), from the user equipment, a downlink transmit power control command, the downlink transmit power control command carried on the S-DPCCH; and controlling (616) a transmit power of the second F-DPCH associated with the S-DPCCH based on the downlink transmit power control command carried on the S- DPCCH.

    • The present invention relates to a method for downlink common pilot configuration for a base station serving a first set of User Equipments UEs and a second set of UEs, wherein the first set of UEs consists of 4-branch MIMO capable UEs and the second set of UEs consists of 4-branch MIMO mode incapable UEs, The method comprises the steps of determining (S410) information related to the UEs served by the Base Station BS; and configuring (S420) transmission of at least one common pilot from the BS to the served UEs based on the determined UE related information.In an example 4-branch MIMO system, at most 4 common pilots are configurable to be transmitted, and the at least one common pilot is two common pilots newly introduced into a legacy system. The present invention also relates to a base station configured for performing the method for downlink common pilot configuration and a computer readable storage medium. (Figure 4b)

    • Method and arrangement in a base station for adjusting a channel quality indicator value of a wireless transmission between the base station and a user equipment. The base station, the user equipment and a relay node are comprised in a multi-hop wireless communication system and adapted to intercommunicate in a first transmission mode and a second transmission mode. The method comprises sending a radio signal to be received by the user equipment, obtaining a measurement of the channel quality indicator value, determining if the transmission mode of the sent radio signal is different from the transmission mode of the obtained channel quality indicator value measurement, and adding a channel quality indicator offset value to the channel quality indicator value, if the transmission mode of the relay node is determined to be the first transmission mode while the channel quality indicator was measured and obtained in the second transmission mode.
