摘要： In an information recording medium, information recorded in a series of pits is reproduced by an optical detecting system for generating reproduction signal corresponding to each pit by scanning the pits with a light beam. The edge position of the information pit is shifted stepwise from a predetermined reference position according to the digital information to be recorded in the range corresponding to a predetermined shift period shorter than the transient period of the reproduced signal. The transient period is determined by the transmission characteristics of the optical detecting system. Using this simple configuration, the data recorded at a high density can be reproduced accurately, and without emphasizing noise components, nonlinear interferences among codes can be reduced.
