    • The invention relates to a heat shield block (26), particularly for lining a combustion chamber wall (24), with a hot side (35) that can be subjected to the action of hot medium (M) and with a wall side (33) situated opposite the hot side (35). A core area (31), which has a core material (39), extends inside the heat shield block (26) from the hot side (35) to the wall side (33).
