摘要： A radio device and a method to operate a non-heterodyne receiver are provided. The radio device is configured to receive a signal waveform and to provide a wake-up signal to a second communication circuit when the signal waveform is a valid communication request; wherein the second communication circuit switches from a power saving state to an operating state upon receiving the wake-up signal from the non-heterodyne receiver. The non-heterodyne receiver further including an Electromagnetic interference (EMI) rejection circuit, including a narrow band filter and a broadband filter to reject an EMI signal. A filter circuit for a narrow passband circuit is also provided. The filter including a buffer circuit; a crystal oscillator coupled to the output of the buffer circuit; and an inverting amplifier coupled in parallel to the crystal oscillator.

摘要： A mobile device (110), e.g. a token, holds a current key and one or more previous (expired) keys in memory (130). If the token needs to communicate with another device (144), e.g. with a reader, and the reader does not have the current key but has a previous key, the token encrypts the current key with the previous key and sends the ciphertext to the reader, which decrypts the current key. The token use different cryptographic material for communication with respective different facilities. Rather than requesting the reader to identify the facility, the token assumes that the facility is the same as in the most recent successful authentication. If the authentication fails, only then the token requests the reader to identify the facility. Authentication time and electric power are saved if the facility is the same. Other embodiments are also provided.

摘要： An electronic door lock ("EDL") is adapted to interact with an electronic key unit having a key antenna and a transmitter configured to transmit a radio frequency ("RF") signal over the key antenna, the RF signal containing an identification ("ID") code identifying the electronic key unit. The EDL can include a first antenna adapted to form a first directional radiation beam to receive the RF signal from the key unit, a second antenna adapted to form a second directional radiation beam to receive the RF signal from the key unit, and a processing component adapted to use RF signals received by one or both of the first and second antenna to determine whether the presence of an acceptable ID code is detected on the key. The EDL can determine the location of the key, and whether the key is inside or outside of the room.
