摘要： The present invention relates to a novel antibody specifically binding to the TSPAN8 (tetraspanin 8) and uses thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to an antibody specifically binding to the LEL (large extracellular loop) of TSPAN8, a method for preparing the antibody, a composition for the suppression of cancer and/or cancer metastasis comprising the antibody, a method for suppressing cancer and/or cancer metastasis by administering the antibody or the composition, a composition for preventing or treating cancer and/or cancer metastasis comprising the antibody, a method for preventing or treating cancer and/or cancer metastasis by administering the antibody or the composition, a composition for diagnosing cancer and/or cancer metastasis comprising the antibody, a kit for diagnosing cancer comprising the composition, a method for diagnosing cancer using the composition, a composition for the suppression of cancer and/or cancer metastasis comprising a material for inhibiting expression of TSPAN8, a kit for cancer and/or cancer metastasis comprising the composition, a method for suppressing cancer and/or cancer metastasis or treating cancer using the composition, and the use of the LEL of TSPAN8 as an epitope for an antibody suppressive of cancer and/or cancer metastasis.
