摘要： Provided is an apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving a message for a handover to a heterogeneous system in a BWA system. In the method, a neighboring BS information message containing the neighboring heterogeneous system BS information is generated according to the neighboring BS information message generation scheme of the serving system. The serving system BS has only to transmit information about a neighboring BS of the serving system, thus reducing a message overhead. Also, the neighboring heterogeneous system BS has only to transmit its own BS information within the corresponding coverage, thus enabling efficient use of control channel resources.

摘要： An apparatus and a method of a macro terminal for controlling interference in a wireless communication system of a hierarchical cell structure are provided. The method includes setting measurement reporting configuration for a blanking trigger per measurement identifier allocated by a macro base station, measuring a receive signal strength of a neighbor base station, comparing the measured receive signal strength value with a reference receive signal strength value of the measurement reporting configuration for the blanking trigger, and according to a comparison result, transmitting to the macro base station, a measurement report message comprising a measurement identifier corresponding to the measurement reporting configuration for the blanking trigger of a pico base station.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for handover in a broadband wireless communication system supporting a Mobile Relay Station (MRS) are provided. The method includes transmitting a Connection ID (CID) of Mobile Stations (MSs), the CIDs pre-allocated by a target BS, to the MSs; sending a resource allocation message comprising uplink resource allocation information for bandwidth request of the MSs, to the MSs; receiving a bandwidth request message which comprises security authentication information of each MS, from the MSs using an uplink resource allocated through the uplink resource allocation information; and aggregating bandwidth request messages of the MSs and sending a ranging request message comprising the security authentication information and bandwidth request information of the MSs to the target BS. Thus, the handover delay time, which is inevitable for the bandwidth request in the conventional connection set-up procedure, can be reduced, and the handover with the reliability guaranteed can be achieved by allowing the security related processing in the network re-entry procedure.

摘要： A wireless communication system includes a mobile terminal, a controller, and at least one base station. A mobile terminal has an array antenna and searches for neighbor base stations. The controller determines an active set for multi-cooperative transmission/reception with respect to the mobile terminal among searched neighbor base stations, and schedules beam transmission of each base station included in the determined active set. The at least one base station performs transmission/reception with the mobile terminal using beam-forming in an ultra high frequency band, and provides resource information regarding uplink/downlink of each base station included in the active set to the mobile terminal based on the scheduling by the controller.
