    • A hinge (20, 120) for pivotably mounting a panel (14) to a vehicle body (12) includes a panel attachment plate (22, 122) securable to the panel, a body attachment plate (24, 124) securable to the vehicle body, and an intermediate member (32, 132) pivotably attached between the body and panel attachment plates. The intermediate member has opposite sidewalls (32a, 132a) and a center flange (32b, 132b) extending therebetween. The sidewalls engage the body attachment plate with the center flange spaced from the plate when the intermediate member is pivoted such that the sidewalls are positioned generally along the plate. The intermediate member may include stop members (38, 138) for limiting pivotal movement of the panel attachment plate at different positions by being cut to different sizes during manufacture of the hinge. The body attachment plate (124) may provide a hinge portion (124b) that provides enhanced structural rigidity to the hinge.
