摘要： Techniques for adjusting one or more antenna parameters to optimize the performance of a wireless device are disclosed. In an embodiment, a variable antenna match is provided with a control signal for selecting a preferred antenna match setting. The preferred antenna match setting may correspond to the setting having a best signal quality metric. In a further embodiment, a variable antenna electrical length module is provided with a control signal for selecting a preferred antenna electrical length. Further techniques for accommodating multiple antennas are disclosed.

摘要： Implementations relate to systems and methods for localized notification that provide localized information to one or more mobile devices in a wireless communication system that are located in one or more geographical regions. The wireless communication system includes a localized notification server that responds to geographically-targeted broadcast requests and localized service or information requests. The localized notification server localizes components of the wireless communication system into sets of localized components that provide wireless communication service to mobile devices in the specific geographical regions. In response to a request to broadcast to a target geographical region, the localized notification server identifies a set of localized components associated with the target geographical region. The localized notification server then broadcasts information to mobile devices actively serviced by the set of localized components.

摘要： Location of a wireless communication device is determined by a combination of geolocation and a detection of augmenting data such as acceleration and/or speed over time measurements. A last known terrestrial navigation fix is established based on reliable terrestrial navigation or GPS data. A zone of valid location fixes based on the last known terrestrial navigation fix and an output of a rate detection circuit can be established. A weighted average is taken of using independent location measurement and detected location using last known reliable position plus change in position by integrating position changes over time.

摘要： One feature provides a method for encoding geolocation information into a next-generation internet protocol (IP) address, such as IPv6, to facilitate distribution of geolocation information among networked devices. A request for an IP address assignment is received from a network device. The geographical location for the network device is obtained. An IP address is assigned or generated that includes the geographical location. The assigned IP address is then provided to the network device. By encoding the geolocation information of a first network device into the IP address assigned to the first network device, other network devices are able to readily obtain the geographical location of the first network device. This method propagates geolocation information for network devices as part of the IP address, thus avoiding the need for separate geolocation distribution messaging. As the network device moves, its IP address is changed to update its geographical location information.
