摘要： Methods and apparatus of wireless communication at a user equipment comprise compressing an uplink data packet. The methods and apparatus further comprise transmitting the uplink data packet on an uplink dedicated transport channel (DCH) to a network entity a plurality of times within a time duration allowed for transmission of the uncompressed uplink data packet. Moreover, the methods and apparatus comprise receiving a downlink acknowledgement message from the network entity corresponding to the uplink data packet. Additionally, the methods and apparatus comprise terminating transmission of the uplink DCH by transmitting bits of zero power for a remainder of the time duration on the DCH based on receiving the downlink acknowledgement message.

摘要： Systems, methods, and devices for low overhead paging in a wireless communications network are described herein. In one aspect, a wireless communications device comprises a processor and a transmitter. The processor is configured to compress a bitmap of a paging message to obtain a compressed paging message. The bitmap is associated with a plurality of receiver identifiers, and each of the plurality of receiver identifiers associated with at least one receiver of a set of receivers. The compressed bitmap comprises a block bitmap and a plurality of sub-block bitmaps. Each bit of the block bitmap comprises a logical OR of a subset of the bitmap, and each sub-block bitmap corresponds to a bit of the block bitmap. The transmitter is electronically coupled with the processor and configured to transmit the compressed paging message to at least one receiver.

摘要： Method and apparatus for improving the downlink bandwidth efficiency of a wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA) communication device are described. During a voice call, DTCH and DCCH carry voice data and signaling individually, and are mapped on the same DCH then DPDCH. According to aspects of this disclosure, a new downlink physical shared dedicated control channel (DPSCCH) can be used in mapping DCCH from different voice calls, leaving all available bandwidth of DPDCH to DTCH traffic, hence improving the bandwidth efficiency of DPDCH.
