A preferred embodiment is characterised in that the inductor cores (14, 16, 18, 20) have a U-shaped cross-section and in that plastic bodies (15a, 17a, 19a, 21a) with wound-up coils (15, 17, 19, 21) are inserted into the inductor cores, the inductor cores (14, 16) on the side of the steering column lying opposite the inductor cores (18, 20) on the side of the steering wheel so that the open sides of their U-shape face each other. The separate circuits reduce interference sensibility of the device without the need for additional energy accumulators or additional electronics.
