    • The membrane electrochemical generator (100) is fed with gaseous reactants and comprises a multiplicity of reaction cells (101) and a multiplicity of cooling cells (102) mutually connected in series and assembled according to a filter-press type configuration. Each reaction cell (101) is delimited by a pair of conductive bipolar plates (103) comprising a multiplicity of first calibrated holes (113a) for the passage of the gaseous reactants and a multiplicity of second calibrated holes (113b) for the discharge of the reaction products and of the optional residual reactants. The cooling cells (102), in their turn, comprise a rigid peripheral portion (102a), whereupon a gasket (117) is laid, defining and sealing on each face of such peripheral portion a zone of collection of the gaseous reactants (118a) and a zone of collection of the reaction products and of the residual reactants (118b). In a filter-press configuration, these two zones are respectively overlaid to the first calibrated holes (113a) and to the second calibrated holes (113b). During the operation of the electrochemical generator (100), the gaseous reactants flow to the zone of collection of the gaseous reactants (118a), passing therefrom through the multiplicity of upper calibrated holes (113a) to reach the active area of the reaction cells (101). The reaction products and the residual reactants produced in the reaction cell (101) pass in their turn through the multiplicity of lower calibrated holes (113b) to reach the zone of collection of the discharge products (118b) exiting the electrochemical generator (100) therefrom.

    • A description is made of a flexible spacer for double glazing made of Polyisobutylene elastomer or butyl rubber IIR (simple or halogenated), suitably loaded with both reinforcing and inert fillers. The spacer can be cross-linked with sulphur or peroxides. The spacer is impermeable to moisture and has high low thermal conductivity gas sealing capacity, and incorporates moisture absorbing material. In particular, the spacer features - on each side wall - at least a small wave (13a) positioned immediately above the accumulation area of the internal or primary sealant (15) so as to ensure an optimal adhesion to the glass of the double/triple glazing unit within which the spacer is fitted and features at least one recess (13b), with a configuration such as to allow the external sealant to penetrate and create a strong mechanical bond between the two materials.
