摘要： A scrambling sequence is initialized using at least a cell identifier and an offset, and a physical downlink control information DCI is sent to a user equipment which indicates the offset. In more particular embodiments a user equipment-specific reference signal UE-RS is scrambled using the initialized scrambling sequence, and the scrambled UE-RS is sent to the UE for demodulating a downlink shared channel (PDSCH). In another exemplary embodiment the generated UE-RS is sent in a pilot part of a subframe transmission associated with the PDSCH and is for demodulating at least a data part of that subframe transmission. In a specific embodiment from the UE side, the UE receives the UE-RS and the DCI which indicates the offset, descrambles the UE-RS using a scrambling sequence that is initialized using a cell identifier and the indicated offset; and demodulates the PDSCH using the de-scrambled UE-RS.

摘要： Disclosed is a method that includes embedding at least one uplink component carrier index into a predetermined location in a downlink control information payload having a first type of format (DCI format 3/3A), while maintaining alignment between the downlink control information payload having the first type of format and a downlink control information payload having a second type of format (DCI format 0/1 A). The method further includes transmitting the resulting downlink control information payload into a cell for reception by user equipment. The use of the method is advantageous at least to provide backwards compatibility between Rel-8/Rel-9 user equipment and LTE-A user equipment operating with cross-component carrier scheduling. Also disclosed are corresponding apparatus, as well as methods and apparatus providing an enhanced LTE-A compatible user terminal.

摘要： An apparatus and method for selecting a beam group and a subset of beams in a communication system are disclosed. The method includes: measuring channel state information (CSI) on a downlink from a base station (920); identifying a selected beam group out of a set of beam groups according to a wideband property of the CSI (930); identifying a selected subset of beams in the selected beam group according to at least one subband (940). The method further includes: generating encoded feedback information identifying the selected beam group and the selected subset of beams for each subband in a double codebook format (950), transmitting the encoded feedback information to the base station. 摘要： A first precoding matrix W1 is selected from a first codebook comprising sets of rank specific precoding matrices. The first codebook is characterized by there being fewer precoding matrices associated with higher ranks than associated with lower ranks, and characterized by precoding matrices associated with ranks above a certain rank all being diagonal matrices. The selected first precoding matrix W1 is used to select a rank-specific second precoding matrix W2 from a second codebook, such that the selected first and second precoding matrices form a joint precoder specific to a desired rank. The second codebook is characterized by differently sized precoding matrices associated with each of N total ranks, in which N is an integer greater than one. Information on the joint precoder is reported to a network node over an uplink transmission channel.
