摘要： A system and a method for per unit payment for units of digital content, in which the payment is only for a limited use of the unit of content. For example, payment might only enable the user to display or play back the unit of content a limited number of times, such as once or twice. Alternatively, payment might only enable the user to display or play back the unit of content for a limited period of time. A combination of these two models is also possible. Thus, unlike existing television channels, the user is able to partially or even completely customize the units of digital content which are to be displayed and/or played back.
