摘要： The disclosed virtual theater system includes capture devices for capturing video and audio of a live even and converting the video and audio into a data stream. The system also includes a production center for receiving the data stream and compressing the data stream to generate a compressed data stream, for determining the number of one or more viewing devices subscribed or reserved to view the live event, and for determining data bandwidth consumption characteristics of the one or more viewing devices. Also included is a server for receiving the compressed data stream, the number of one or more viewing devices, and the data bandwidth consumption characteristics from the production center over a network. The server also duplicates and divides the compressed data stream out to the one or more viewing devices depending on the number of viewing devices subscribed or reserved (cyberseats reserved) to view the live event.

A second order is generated for the set of discrete content segments based on the set of event instances and the sets of ordering factors.

摘要： The power of analytical modeling is added to existing methods for specifying policies. Generally speaking, humans use their knowledge and experience to draft policies at a relatively high level. These policies then incorporate analytical models which provide the intelligence on how to most effectively apply the high-level policy to a particular situation. When a policy is invoked, the analytical model provides up-to-date intelligence at a level of completeness and refinement not possible with previous techniques. As a result, fewer policies need to be drafted, and those few need to be updated less frequently than in previous schemes. Rather than updating the policy itself, the analytical model is automatically updated whenever new data are fed into it. As the analytical model incorporates new observational data, it grows more powerful and thus automatically increases the effectiveness of the high-level policy.

A program (including program segments and supplementary media content) and advertisements are transmitted to a user device on two different channels. A database may be queried to determine whether the advertisement suppression feature is enabled for a particular user. For example, the user of the user device may subscribe to an advertisement suppression service and an enabled status may be stored in the database. If the status is enabled, the program segments and supplementary media content are provided to the user device without advertisements. If the status is disabled, the program segments and advertisements are provided to the user device without the supplementary media content.
