摘要： The subject matter described herein relates to managing data with flexible schema. A method, computer storage medium, and system are provided for managing data with flexible schema. The method comprises providing a logical view for logical tables of a database; and managing mappings between the logical tables and a physical table according to predefined mapping constraints, each of the logical table mapped as a part of the physical table. The mapping constraints at least specify that (i) a logical column in the logical tables is mapped to at least one physical column in the physical table, and (ii) distinct logical columns in one of the logical tables are mapped to distinct physical columns in the physical table. As a result, schema evolution may be done with minimized data migration.

摘要： The subject matter described herein relates to database middleware for enabling graph processing. A middleware between the graph data and underlying relational or SQL database is proposed. The local properties and topology information of nodes in the graph can be stored in a single node table in the database, thereby eliminating the need for a physical junction table. The middleware may efficiently translate graph queries into SQL queries over related tables. The middleware may optimize the translated queries using the topology knowledge which is oblivious to the database query engine.

摘要： A foldable computing device with multiple display regions repositions UI components of an application. A repositioned UI component may be easier to access, discover, and manipulate. In some configurations, a UI component is repositioned to be closer to the thumbs of a user holding the device. In other configurations, a UI component is repositioned to avoid inter-region gestures. In other configurations, a UI component is repositioned to a location that is less likely to move or shift the device by the physical force of touching the component. A content optimization engine may determine whether to reposition a UI component based on a number of factors, including a posture of the device, a size of the component, a complexity of user interaction needed to use the component, how often the component is used, etc.

摘要： In embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided a scheme for translating a functional graph traversal language to an extended Structured Query Language (SQL). After a first query compiled with the functional graph traversal language is obtained, the first query is translated to a second query in the form of the extended Structured Query Language based on the translating rules. By extending the standard Structured Query Language, embodiments of the present disclosure enable retaining directed edges between vertices in the graph database in the second query and retaining flow control, iteration, temporary variable definition, advanced data structure, side effect, and dependency between steps included in the first query. Therefore, according to embodiments of the present disclosure, by translating the functional graph traversal language, it is possible to identify queries with the same semantics in the functional graph traversal language, thereby optimizing queries in the functional graph traversal language.
