    • A lock includes a lock body, a lock bar, and a locking mechanism. The lock body extends in a longitudinal direction between a first end defining a longitudinal passage and a second end. The lock bar is disposed within the passage and movable in a longitudinal direction between a securing position proximal to the second end and a release position distal to the second end, with a proximal end portion of the lock bar and the second end defining a first gap when the lock bar is in the release position. The locking mechanism is assembled within one of the lock body and the lock bar and is operable between a locking condition securing the lock bar against movement from the securing position to the release position, and an unlocked condition permitting movement of the lock bar from the securing position to the release position.

    • A portable safe for assembly with an apertured member includes a safe housing and a safe door. The safe housing has an internal cavity extending to an access port, and at least one opening configured to align with at least one aperture of the apertured member. The safe door is securable to the housing to substantially block the access port. The safe door includes a locking mechanism having at least one locking member secured in a housing engaging position when the locking mechanism is in a locked condition. The at least one locking member is movable to a housing disengaging position when the locking mechanism is in an unlocked condition. The safe door further includes a lock interface that is selectively operable to move the locking mechanism from the locked condition to the unlocked condition.

    • In a method of managing access codes, a product is provided with an access restricting mechanism configured to permit operation of the product in response to entry of either one of first and second access codes using a code interface. The first access code is displayed on the product without displaying the second access code on the product.
