摘要： The instant invention provides a magnetically controlled reciprocating engine having a unique electromagnet control system. The engine is constructed and arranged to operate from a stored power source such as batteries to provide extended run times by controlling the power supplied to the electromagnets in a manner that controls heat generation within the electromagnetic coils, thereby increasing coil life. The control system is also capable of controlling engine speed and/or torque outputs to make the engine versatile for a wide variety of uses. The system is constructed and arranged to be utilized on new or pre-existing engines of various configurations and may be utilized in other industries or devices that benefit from the use of electromagnets.

摘要： An electro-magnetic reciprocating engine and method for converting an internal combustion engine to an electro-magnetic reciprocating engine wherein a ferrite magnet (40) is secured to the top of each piston (20) reciprocally disposed in a cylinder (16), and an electro-magnet (46) spaced apart from said ferrite magnet (40) on the top of each cylinder (16). The electro-magnets (46) are energized with a constant voltage to create a magnetic field and the ferrite magnets (40) are selectively intermittently polarized when the piston (20) is about one degree past TDC. The ferrite magnets (40) are polarized by contact strike (50) through a distributor (62) allowing the conventional camshaft (30) to provide timing. The distributor (62) is electrically coupled to a DC power source (66) and a capacitor (not shown) used to provide a stored but adjustable instant burst of voltage to the contact strike (50) to optimize the magnetic field about the ferrite magnet (40) to interact with the magnetic field about the electromagnet to effect reciprocal motion of the pistons (20) within the cylinders (16).

摘要： Briefly, the invention involves a system and method for generating electrical power. The system includes an electromagnet positioned with one pole directed toward a like pole of a permanent magnet. The permanent magnet is preferably mounted for oscillating movement toward the pole of the electromagnet. A control system for the electromagnet is provided to supply direct current (DC) power in the form of square wave pulses which coincide with the position of the permanent magnet. Power is collected upon the collapse of the magnetic field within the electromagnetic magnet. In some embodiments the present device is supplied in the form of a reciprocating engine which provides rotary motion in addition to the electrical power generated.
