    • The present invention provides a battery pack comprising: a battery module array body having two or more rows of inverted battery modules arranged therein, the battery modules which are formed by battery cells or unit modules having two or more battery cells equipped therein being laminated in the direction of the side surface on the basis of an electrode device of the battery cells; a front support member and a rear support member which are a pair of side support members, each supporting the front and the rear of the battery module array body while closely contacting the outermost battery modules of the battery module array body; a lower support member coupled to the lower end of the side support members, and supporting the lower end of the battery module array body; and mounting members coupled to the upper end of the battery module array body and connected to an external device so that the upper portion of the battery pack is mounted on the external device.

    • The present invention relates to a medium- to large-sized battery module having a structure in which secondary batteries, or unit modules having two or more secondary batteries built therein, are vertically stacked. The battery module includes: a base plate on which the secondary batteries or the unit modules are vertically stacked; a pair of end plates closely attached to the outer surface of the outermost secondary battery or unit module in when the pair of end plates are fixed to a lower end of the base plate; and a supporting bar connecting both sides of the upper portions or side surfaces of the end plates to each other so as to connect and support the end plates with respect to each other. In the base plate, a pair of uneven, upwardly oriented parts, which prevent the base plate from being deformed by vertical vibrations and which disperse pressure (load), are disposed on both sides of the base plate in the lengthwise direction of the base plate. Both ends of the unit modules are mounted on the uneven, upwardly oriented parts.

    • The present invention provides a battery pack comprising: a battery module array having at least two columns of battery modules arranged on the side, with each battery module having a structure where unit modules with built-in battery cells themselves or at least two battery cells are stacked up in the vertical direction; a base plate on which the battery modules are set up in the vertical direction; a pair of main members disposed respectively at the front and rear sides of the battery module array to support the load of the battery modules, with both ends of the main member being fastened to an external device; a pair of end plates adhered respectively to the front and rear sides of the battery module array, with the lower end being fixed to the base plate; and a supporting bar for connecting the top or side of both end plates to interconnect and support the end plates. Furthermore, on the outer side of the outermost battery module of the battery module array there is a reinforcing member being coupled to the side wall of the end plate or to the side of the main member so as to minimize the transformation of the battery pack against vibration in the back-and-forth direction.
