    • According to the invention a pneumatic actuator system for usage in a clutch system of a vehicle is provided, comprising an actuator piston (1) which is arranged to be actuated by pressure created in a working chamber (3), a pilot valve for controlling the pressure in the working chamber (3) and a control unit (45) for controlling a control force, wherein the pilot valve comprises a pilot piston (19), a first valve member (21), and a pilot piston spring (23) between the pilot piston (19) and the first valve member (21) for biasing the pilot piston (19) against the control force, and wherein the pilot valve has a first operating state, a second operating state and a closed state, wherein the state of the pilot valve depends on the control force; the invention is characterised in that the pilot valve is arranged in mechanical or pneumatic communication with the actuator piston (1) such that any movement of the actuator piston (1) biases the pilot valve to its closed operating state.
