摘要： One embodiment of the present invention is an endless non-woven tissue making fabric having a three-dimensional texture suitable for use as a fabric for producing three-dimensional fibrous webs. The endless non-woven tissue making fabric comprises a plurality of substantially parallel adjoining sections of non-woven material. Each section of non-woven material has a width substantially less than the width of the non-woven tissue making fabric. Each section of non-woven material may be joined to at least one other adjoining section of non-woven material. The non-woven tissue making fabric has a machine direction, a cross-machine direction, a tissue contacting surface and a tissue machine contacting surface. The tissue contacting surface comprises solid matter at a plurality of heights such that the tissue contacting surface of the non-woven tissue making fabric has an Overall Surface Depth of at least 0.2 mm in regions of solid matter on the tissue contacting surface.

摘要： A process for producing paper webs having a pattern formed into the web is disclosed. The pattern is formed during formation of the web and is made by varying the basis weight of the web. The paper web is produced by depositing an aqueous suspension of fibers between two forming surfaces. One or both of the forming surfaces include lower permeability areas that create lower basis weight areas in the web. The lower permeability areas are contained in the forming surface according to a particular pattern. For instance, the lower permeability areas can be formed into a drainage roll sleeve contained on a drainage roll which contacts a forming surface. The drainage roll can be a forming roll or a breast roll.

摘要： Provided are papermaking belts comprising a plurality of 3-D printed modules comprising first and second machine direction extending arms that may be interdigitated with one another and joined by a linkage pin. The 3-D printed modules generally have protuberances and apertures to facilitate molding and dewatering of the embryonic tissue web during manufacture. The protuberances are joined to, and extend from, the first web contacting surface of the module and are integrally formed therewith. In this manner the web contacting surface of the belt comprises a first and a second plane, where the second plane is generally defined by the upper surface plane of the protuberances. The apertures, which generally consist of both intra-module and inter-module apertures, allow water to be removed from a tissue web during manufacture.

The fabrics generally have a plurality of protuberances disposed on the web contacting surfaces. By providing protuberances with hollow interior pockets the air permeability of the resulting woven papermaking fabric may be improved, and in certain instances may be increased, relative to similar fabrics having protuberances that are non-hollow.

摘要： Methods of improving the drying rate of a cellulosic web, such as a tissue web, by providing an apparatus having two noncompressive dewatering devices, such as two through-air driers, where the temperature of the drying medium supplied to each device is separately controlled. The temperature of the medium supplied to the first device may exceed 450°F, such as from about 450 to about 600°F. On the other hand the temperature of the medium supplied to the second device may be less than the temperature supplied to the first, such as from about 350 to 450°F. Drying the web in this manner not only improves drying efficiency, but also limits or prevents degradation of the web, such as the combustion of cellulosic fibers making up the web or monosaccharides associated therewith. As such, webs that are substantially free from furan and acetaldehyde may be produced by the present methods.

Preferably the hesperaloe fibers are high yield hesperaloe pulp fibers, which have demonstrated the ability to replace substantially all of the long fiber fraction of the papermaking furnish without negatively effecting important tissue product properties such as CD Stretch, CD Durability and bulk. Thus, the tissue product may comprise greater than about 90 weight percent hesperaloe fiber and more preferably greater than about 95 weight percent.
