    • The invention relates to a fitting for a vehicle seat, especially for an automotive seat. Said fitting comprises a first fitting element (111), a second fitting element (112) linked with the first fitting element (111) so as to drive it, and an eccentric (126, 127) for driving a rolling off movement of the second fitting element (112) on the first fitting element (111). The eccentric is defined by at least one driving ring (126) and two wedge segments (127) which are braced against each other. During the rolling off movement, the driving ring (126) slides along the fitting element (111) which is adjacent to it. The friction between said fitting element (111) and the driving ring (126) is less than that between the wedge segments (127) and the other fitting element (112) adjacent thereto and less than that between the driving ring (126) and the wedge segments (127) which rest on the driving ring (126) with at least one supporting line (134) each.

At least one component (27) of the eccentric is mounted on the first fitting part (11) with the inner side (27a) thereof and/or on the second fitting part (12) with the outer side (27b) thereof, co-operating directly with the corresponding fitting part (11, 12). According to the invention, said component (27) of the eccentric or the associated fitting part (11 or 12) is coated, in the co-operation region, with a thin layer having a friction co-efficient which is lower than that of the material of the component (27).
