摘要： Systems and methods for bearer splitting among multiple radio links are disclosed herein. User equipment (UE) may be communicatively coupled to an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Node B (eNB) by multiple radio links (e.g., an LTE link and a WLAN link). A transmitter may dynamically determine a splitting policy for how to split traffic among each link (e.g., what proportion to send over each link). In some embodiments, the transmitter may determine the splitting policy explicitly based on lower layer metrics. Alternatively, or in addition, each radio access interface may request data when a transmission opportunity becomes available, and the splitting policy may be determined implicitly from the data requests. For a UE, the splitting policy may be determined with network assistance, which may include a resource allocation for an LTE link, a probability of successful transmission over a WLAN link, and/or the like.

摘要： An apparatus of an evolved NodeB (eNB) comprises one or more baseband processors to encode a wireless local area network (WLAN) Termination (WT) Addition message to be sent to a WT for a user equipment (UE) to connect with the WLAN using Long-Term Evolution (LTE) WLAN Aggregation (LWA), and to receive a WT Addition Rejection message from the WT if the UE is rejected by the WT including a rejection cause. An apparatus of a WT comprises one or more baseband processors to process a WT Addition message received from the eNB for the UE to connect with the WT using LWA, and to generate a command to be sent to the eNB to control offloading traffic to the WLAN if the WT Addition message is accepted by the WT. GRE tunneling may be established between the UE and the WT for home deployment of LWA.

In some embodiments, a UE is configured to receive ACDC parameters associated with a set of network conditions, and receive, at a non-access stratum (NAS) layer of the UE, a first communication associated with a first application. The UE processes the first communication to identify a first category of a plurality of application categories, wherein the first category is associated with the first application, and wherein each category of the plurality of application categories is associated with a set of current congestion control parameters based on the received ACDC parameters. The UE then identifies a first set of congestion control parameters associated with the first category, performs an ACDC check based on the current congestion control parameters associated with the first category, and processes the first communication.

摘要： Technology for using an open mobile alliance (OMA) management object (MO) for congestion control in mobile networks is described. A novel type of OMA MO for application specific access control (ASAC) can include internet protocol (IP) flow descriptions that can be used to characterize applications with fine granularity. Priorities can be assigned to IP flows based on the IP flow descriptions. A user equipment (UE) can receive such an OMA MO and also receive application-barring information regarding a congestion level in a mobile network with which an application at the UE wishes to connect. The UE can have a connectivity manager (CM) that determines whether to allow the application to establish a connection with the mobile network based on the priority level of the application's associated IP flow and the application-barring information.
