摘要： Systems and methods for bearer splitting among multiple radio links are disclosed herein. User equipment (UE) may be communicatively coupled to an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) Node B (eNB) by multiple radio links (e.g., an LTE link and a WLAN link). A transmitter may dynamically determine a splitting policy for how to split traffic among each link (e.g., what proportion to send over each link). In some embodiments, the transmitter may determine the splitting policy explicitly based on lower layer metrics. Alternatively, or in addition, each radio access interface may request data when a transmission opportunity becomes available, and the splitting policy may be determined implicitly from the data requests. For a UE, the splitting policy may be determined with network assistance, which may include a resource allocation for an LTE link, a probability of successful transmission over a WLAN link, and/or the like.

摘要： Uplink (UL) data splits between LTE and WLAN can be supported in cellular networks. The split can be UE controlled or network controlled. Both UE and network controlled bearer split architectures can be supported. The reporting of Uplink Buffer Status (BSR) and the subsequent data allocation can depend on what option is supported by the network. For UE controlled UL data splits, the UE determines a traffic split ratio between LTE and WLAN. The split can be based on local link conditions. For network controlled UL data splits, the network (e.g. a Link Aggregation Scheduler at the eNB) is responsible for making bearer split decisions. The decisions can be based on link qualities, available traffic and quality of service (QoS) requirements of associated users. The split can be based on a per bearer threshold, an eNB configured ratio, or an implicit inference based on a UL grant.

摘要： Systems and methods of indicating WLAN status in LWA are disclosed. A UE establishes communication with an eNB through LWA. The UE determines whether a status of a WLAN connection of the LWA is that the WLAN connection is temporary unavailable or is successfully established after being temporary unavailable. If the WLAN connection is temporary unavailable or is successfully established after being temporary unavailable, a WLAN Connection Status Reporting message is transmitted to the eNB. The WLAN Connection Status Reporting message includes a WLAN-Status information element having a value of the status selected from: suspended when the WLAN connection is temporary unavailable, and resumed when the WLAN connection is successfully established and a status of a last WLAN Connection Status Reporting message is suspended.

摘要： Systems and methods of permitting continuous use of a WT are generally described. A target eNB receives a handover request LWA container that contains information for handover without a WT change, including an identity of the WT. In response, the target eNB transmits to the WT a WT addition request that indicates handover of the UE without a WT change via a UE ID. The WT addition request contains IEs that indicate one or more of E-RABs to add, modify and delete during handover. The UE and the WT may continue using a source eNB key until a target eNB key is sent by the target eNB. Once the target eNB key is received, the reception triggers re-association.
