摘要： The present invention provides a portable support stand (100) for various devices such as laptop computes, tablet PCs and other electronic equipment (10). The stand (100) has a tripod configuration which promotes stability of the user device. The front legs (102, 104) of the tripod may¬ be adjusted between compact and extended positions, and may be placed in a position relative to the rear leg (106) anywhere from 0° in a fully closed position to approximately 180° in a fully open position. Audible indicators are used with overall stand adjustment and with adjustment of stoppers (108a, 108b) at the ends of the front legs. Adjustment of the front legs (102, 104) relative to the rear leg (106) employs a pivot section (110), including a finger disc spring (138), an adjustment actuator (134) and an engagement member (136) between the spring (138) and the actuator (134). The engagement member (136) includes projections or dimples (256) which engage receptacles (167) on an engagement member (158) to secure the stand (100) in a desired arrangement.

摘要： The present invention provides a device (100) for holding a laptop computer or other portable devices. The laptop (80) is placed on a support (102) having a generally- planar surface. A pair of adjustable arm members (104) is pivotally connected to the support. The user may adjust one or both of the arm members (104) to accommodate portable devices of different sizes. Clips or other connectors (106) are used to secure the laptop (80) to the holding device (100). The clips (106) connect to the arm members (104) and to the support (102). The clips (106) may have one or more components (106a, 106b), and may be configured to slide along the arm members (104) and the support (102). The support (102) may include a number of projections (122, 124) that can be arranged in an X-shaped configuration. A release plate or other connector (108) couples the holding device (100) to an extension assembly (20). The release plate (108) provides a quick release from a tilting device (60) of the extension assembly (20).

摘要： A quick release assembly (202) is provided to enable a user to easily attach and detach electronic equipment (300) such as a flat panel monitor to an extension arm or other mounting device (100) . One embodiment of the quick release assembly (202) includes an adapter plate (212) for connecting to the electronic equipment (300), a connecting plate (216) for securing to the mounting device (100) , and a release plate (214) disposed between the adapter plate (212) and the connecting plate (216) . When fully assembled, the user can press a release mechanism (250) on the release plate (214) to disengage the release plate (214) and the connecting plate (216) from the adapter unit (212) . After the release mechanism (250) is pressed, the connecting plate (216) can be slid off of the adapter plate (212) . Unlike conventional devices, it is not necessary to remove or loosen hard to reach fasteners in order to disconnect the electronic device (300) from the mounting device (100) .
