摘要： Aspects of the present invention are directed towards methods and apparatus for adjusting an application timer to integrate an application service with power saving support. An application server receives an incoming call request from a calling device. The application server queries an Authentication, Authorization, Accounting server (AAA) server for paging performance information associated with a target device. The application server adjusts the application layer timer to a period of time longer than an expected duration for the calling device to receive an incoming call response from the target device, wherein the expected duration is based upon the paging performance information.

The SON message traffic can include one or more wireless communication parameter values.

摘要： Systems and methods for integrating control and charging functions with Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access Voice Service (WVS) include a WVS server, a policy distribution module, and an enforcement function module. The WVS server receives a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) request, wherein, optionally, service information is embedded in a Session Description Protocol (SDP) offer associated with the SIP request. The WVS server initiates a policy control and charging session by sending service related information to a policy distribution/decision function module. The policy distribution/decision module receives the service related information and then authorizes policy charging and control (PCC) rules. The policy distribution/decision module then sends the PCC rules to an enforcement function module. According to the PCC rules, the enforcement function module establishes/modifies an internet protocol (IP) bearer with a target mobile station.

摘要： Aspects of the present invention are directed for integrating control and charging functions and hotlining with Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access Voice Service (WVS). In response to receiving an incoming call setup request, a WVS server initiates a policy control and charging (PCC) session by sending service related information to a policy distribution/decision function module. The policy distribution/decision function module provides an authorization decision regarding the PCC rules. Based on the authorization decision, an enforcement function module modifies the PCC session. An access service network receives account quota information from a prepaid server associated with the subscriber. In response to determining that a remaining account quota is insufficient, the prepaid server assigns the remaining account quota to the prepaid client associated with the subscriber. An accounting client then triggers the hotlining operation.
