    • A surfacing material (41) such as a sheet of raised fabric or a foamed cushion sheet is disposed in advance inside a mold (20), and a molten resin (30) is then packed into this mold (20) to mold a molded article having a layer of the surfacing material (41) and a layer of the resin (30) laminated with each other. In this case, a compressive force necessary for fluidization is applied to the mold (20) until the molten resin (30) completely fills the inside of the mold (20), and after the molten resin (30) is fully packed, the compressive force applied to the mold (20) is decreased. The decreasing of compression helps to prevent the nap on a raised fabric sheet from falling and also prevent a thick fabric or cushion sheet from becoming thinner under excessive pressure. Accordingly, excellent moldability can be imparted to the molded article, and even after molding is completed, the properties of the surfacing material (41) can be maintained as such.

    • A compression device for molding, which ensures uniformity in a compression force onto a molten resin, readily achieves general miniaturization and is easy to mount on a molding machine, an injection compression molding machine and an injection compression molding method, which use the compression device for molding. The compression device for molding is disposed rearwardly of a moving die section on a molding machine, which advances a moving die section toward a stationary die section of a metallic die to perform molding while applying a compression force onto a molten resin filled in the die, and functions to generate a pressing force pushing the moving die section toward the stationary die section. The compression device for molding comprises a plurality of inclined members (31, 32) provided with inclined surfaces (31A, 32A) adapted to come into surface contact with each other, and generates a pressing force by advancing the respective inclined members (31) toward the inclined members (32). Incidentally, those ones of the plurality of inclined members (31), which move in the same direction, are engaged with one another through a single interlocking plate (36). Accordingly, it is possible to have all the inclined members (31) moving in synchronism, and a synchronizing mechanism is made lightweight, small in size and easy to mount on the molding machine. Further, an object of the invention can be more fully attained by employing a configuration, in which the inclined members (31) different in a direction of movement are provided, those ones of the inclined members, which move in the same direction, are engaged with one another through the interlocking plate (36), and those ones of the inclined members, which differ in the direction of movement, are engaged with one another through a link (41).
