摘要： Disclosed are compositions and methods for targeted treatment of TLR9-expressing cancers. In particular, disclosed herein are molecules or conjugates containing a TLR9 targeting ligand, such as a CpG oligodeoxynucleotide, and a cytotoxic nanoparticle that targets TLR9-expressing malignant cells. Also disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition comprising a molecule disclosed herein in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Also disclosed is a method for treating a TLR9-positive cancer in a subject that involves administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a disclosed pharmaceutical composition.

摘要： This invention is directed to a biodegradable polymer that can be degraded in vivo. The biodegradable polymer comprises a biodegradable polymer segment having at least a biodegradable bond and two or more cationic components, wherein each of said cationic components is covalently attached to the biodegradable polymer segment and the two cationic components/molecules are separated by at least one biodegradable bond in the backbone. The biodegradable polymer can be used for targeting desired ceils in vivo including T cells, NK (natural killer) ceils, cancer cells, or a combination thereof, delivering genes, DNA, oligodeoxynucleotide, oligonucleotide, RNA, mRNA, RNAi, siRNA, microRNA, protein, peptide, antibody, fragment of an antibody, small molecule drug including chemotherapy drugs, or other bioactive agents into cells, or being used as a vaccine or drug for treating a disease such as a cancer in a subject.

摘要： A device and method for the rapid on-site detection of inhibitors of enzymes, such as acetylcholinesterase, is described wherein the device contains all reagents added to a sample pad containing dried releasable enzyme creating a reaction mixture wherein inhibitor deactivates the enzyme, while said reaction mixture travels via a longitudinal membrane to a distal porous pad containing a substrate for the enzyme. The reaction of the enzyme and the substrate results in a product that can generate a measurable signal such as color, fluorescence or luminescence to serve as a reporter. Signal that is generated at this reaction zone is inversely proportional to inhibitor concentration in the test sample. A device containing two such strips, one for a test sample, the other for a negative control fluid as an onboard comparator is described. A purpose-built reader or an illuminating device, such as, containing an incandescent light source, a diode, a UV light source or any other illumination source that is suitable for the reporter or mere visualization is used to determine the level of reporter.

摘要： Symmetrically and asymmetrically branched homopolymers are modified at the surface level with functional groups that enable forming aggregates with water insoluble or poorly water soluble pharmaceutically active agents (PAA). The aggregates formed are specifically induced by interaction of PAA and homopolymer and are different from aggregates that are formed by the polymer alone in the absence of the PAA or by the PAA alone in the absence of the polymer. Such aggregates can be used to improve drug solubility, stability, delivery and efficacy.
