摘要： An automatic vehicle exterior light control system (106) is provided with improved features to accurately detect related images generally forward (110, 115) of a controlled vehicle (105). Systems configured to automatically account for minor imager assembly misalignments are also provided. In at least one embodiment, an imager assembly mounting means is provided that insures accurate alignment of an imager assembly with respect to the desired field of view. In a related embodiment, an imager assembly mounting means provides for quick installation within an associated controlled vehicle. In at least one embodiment, features are provided within the imager assembly mounting means that insure proper selection for the specific controlled vehicle requirements. In a related embodiment, incorrect assembly is prevented. In at least one embodiment, an imager assembly mounting means is provided that exploits use of snap together components for quick and efficient manufacturing.

摘要： A mirror includes an electro-optic mirror subassembly, and a thin-profiled bezel attached around a perimeter of the electrochromic mirror subassembly. The electro-optic mirror subassembly is supported on a carrier by an adheringly bonded heater and foam tape in a laminar arrangement. The bezel may be bonded to an edge of the front surface of the front element of the electro-optic mirror subassembly, and/or may be bonded and/or interlockingly mechanically attached to an edge of the carrier. Alternatively, the bezel can be a strip of paint or thin coating material. The bezel can be molded in place, or can be pre-molded and elastically stretched to permit assembly. In one form, the bezel includes a laterally-extending fin that prevents seeing past the bezel into the inside of a mirror housing.

A housing is operably connected with the mounting structure and a rearward viewing device is supported by one of the housing and the mounting structure. The rearward viewing device provides a rearward view to a vehicle driver and includes a front substrate and a rear substrate. The entire front surface of the front substrate is exposed and the entire rear substrate is positioned behind the front substrate. A concealing layer is disposed about a periphery of the rearward viewing device between the front substrate and the rear substrate. A partially optically transparent bezel is disposed adjacent to both the rearward viewing device and the housing, the optically transparent bezel having an edge radius greater than 2.5 mm and the optically transparent bezel being substantially flush with the front surface of the front substrate.
