摘要： Disclosed is a method for recycling polycarbonate using melt polycondensation apparatus. A polycarbonate polycondensation component is introduced into transesterification polymerization equipment and subjected to one or both of a transesterification reaction and a polycondensation reaction. The polycarbonate polycondensation component has an OH group concentration and comprises one or both of polycarbonate waste resin and polycarbonate oligomer. The OH group concentration of the polycarbonate polycondensation component is adjusted either before or during the transesterification and/or polycondensation reactions.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a method for manufacturing a polycarbonate composition. The method comprises: melting bisphenol and carbonic acid diester to form a melt, polycondensing the melt in the presence of a catalyst, to form a molten polycondensed mixture, adding a sulfur-containing compound the molten polycondensed mixture, stirring the mixture, adding phosphorous acid, a second sulfur-containing acidic compound, an alcohol compound containing ester groups, and water to the molten polycondensed mixture to form a polycarbonate composition, and kneading the polycarbonate composition.

摘要： A process for preparing an end-capped polycarbonate comprises melt reacting an aromatic dihydroxy compound, a carbonic acid diester, and optionally a catalyst in a prepolymerization vessel 4a/4b to form a polycarbonate product; transferring the polycarbonate product from the prepolymerization vessel 4a/ab; mixing the polycarbonate product with an end-capping agent under hermetic seal at a pressure of at least about 76 mm Hg; and transferring the polycarbonate product and en-capping agent mixture to a postpolymerization vessel 9 to endcap the polycarbonate product. An apparatus for preparing an end-capped polycarbonate comprises a prepolymerization vessel 4a/4b having and inlet and an outlet; a postpolymerization vessel 9 having an inlet and an outlet; a mixer in fluid communication with the outlet of the prepolymerization vessel 4a/4b and the inlet of the postpolymerization vessel 9; and a charging port through which an end-capping agent is charged to the mixer, wherein the mixer is hermetically sealed at greater than or equal to 760 mm Hg.

The method, which can be a single or multi-stage process wherein the total amount of alkali metal compounds and alkaline earth metal compounds contained as impurities is 1 x 10 moles or less per mole of dihydroxy compound used as raw materials, and the catalyst employed is an ammonium and/or phosphonium compound, a compound which decomposes or volatilizes at a temperature of 100 to 300 DEG C, and/or an alkali metal phosphorous containing inorganic salt and/or alkaline earth metal phosphorous-containing inorganic salt.
