    • A medical product is configured for use in a medical system. A method is provided for sterilizing the product. A connector (4) connects a first subsystem and a second subsystem, containing a medical fluid, for transport of the medical fluid from the second subsystem to the first sub-system. The connector comprises a valve device (10), a first connection pipe (11) connected to the first sub-system, and a second connection pipe (12) connected to the second sub-system. The valve device comprises a first part (21) and a second part (22) movable relatively each other to permit an opening movement from a closed 10 position, preventing a fluid communication between the connection pipes, and an open position establishing a channel permitting the fluid communication. The connector comprises at least one small passage (41, 42, 43) permitting, in the closed stable position, an introduction of a sterilizing gas to contact wall surfaces defining the channel.

    • A valve (1) comprises a housing (2) defining a flow path (5) between a first end (3) and a second end (4) of the housing (2). The valve further comprises a piston device (8) having a movable portion (9), which is movable between a closed position, in which liquid flow along the flow path is prevented, and an open position, in which liquid flow along the flow path is enabled.     • A capping device (5) is configured to terminate a connector (4) while disconnected from another connector in a fluid transportation system, e.g. for peritoneal dialysis. The connector (4) comprises an exposed surface portion which is enclosed when the connector (4) is connected to the other connector. The capping device (5) comprises a body (11) defining a chamber (12) with an opening, a liquid-containing disinfectant in the chamber (12), a sealing element (15) arranged in the opening to form a sealed cavity (14) retaining the disinfectant, and a structure (13) for engaging and guiding the connector (2) towards the body (11) such that a portion of the connector (2) displaces the sealing element (15) into the chamber (12). The sealed cavity (14) is configured such that a displacement of the sealing element (15) into the chamber (12) actively presses the disinfectant out of the sealed cavity (14), for disinfecting at least part of the exposed surface portion. The capping device (5) may be manufactured by introducing the liquid-containing disinfectant into the chamber (12) through the opening, and by arranging the sealing element (15) in the opening to form the sealed cavity (14).
