摘要： A clustered, fixed cant, throttleable rocket assembly (102) is used to propel and a steer a vessel (100) in terrestrial or extraterrestrial applications. The fixed cant of each of at least three individual rocket engines (104, 106, 108) in the cluster provides the steering input to the overall assembly (102). More specifically, by changing the propellant flow rate to the individual rocket engines (104, 106, 108) relative to one another, the overall thrust vector of the rocket assembly (102) may be selected to provide a desired steering input to the vessel (100). A measured vessel orientation may be compared with a desired vessel orientation to determine what steering input is required to achieve the desired vessel orientation.

摘要： Compositions and methods herein provide monopropellants comprising nitrous oxide mixed with organic fuels in particular proportions creating stable, storable, monopropellants which demonstrate high ISP performance. Due to physical properties of the nitrous molecule, fuel/nitrous blends demonstrate high degrees of miscibility as well as excellent chemical stability. While the monopropellants are particularly well suited for use as propulsion propellants, they also lend themselves well to power generation in demanding situations where some specific cycle creates useable work and for providing gas pressure and/or heat for inflating deployable materials.

If the selected power amplifier voltage supply is one of the plurality of regulated voltage supplies, then the selected one of the plurality of regulated voltage supplies is simultaneously provided to the power amplifier and the at least one other device.

For an embodiment, a voltage regulator includes a power source block configured to convert an input voltage to an output voltage to supply current to an output load, a storage capacitor, and an active filter configured to transfer energy between the output load and the storage capacitor. A conversion ratio of the active filter is controlled by a parameter related to the output voltage, and a conversion ratio of the power source block is at least partially controlled by a parameter related to the voltage on the storage capacitor.

摘要： Systems and methods for the sampling of bodily fluid from an incision in the skin include test strips which are positioned adjacent to the skin and which include features to inhibit the passage of the bodily fluid between the skin and the underside of the test strip. One system utilizes a sealing member (34) located on the bottom surface (15) of the test strip (10) and positioned to provide a fluid tight seal with the skin. A second system includes a recessed surface (62) aligned with the inlet opening (59) of the test strip (50) to preclude contact of the bodily fluid directly with the bottom surface (55) of the test strip (50). A third system involves the use of a hydrophobic surface (55) on the underside of the test strip (50) to inhibit wicking of the bodily fluid along the test strip. The present invention further encompasses the combination of the foregoing sampling systems with each other, and with incising, expressing and/or testing systems and methods, particularly in a single, integrated device.
