摘要： An electric motor, for instance of limited angle type for driving a servo-actuator, has two or more motor units each including a wound stator within each of which is a respective rotor carrying spaced permanent magnets, the rotors being carried on a common shaft. Each stator has a number of slots in which the stator windings are recessed and adjacent stators are angularly offset with respect to their rotor poles by an angle equal to the slot pitch divided by the number of motor units. The cogging or superimposed varying torques of each motor which occur as the magnets pass a stator slot are thus out of phase and substantially cancel out.
