    • Provided is a surgical graft having one or more pockets adapted to receive a shaft tip of a surgical fastening device. The graft of the invention may be made from a biodegradable material, a biological material, a non-biodegradable material, biodegradable material, or a combination of any of these. The graft may be of a mesh construction, and may have an elongated shape, or may be shaped as a patch. The graft may be used, for example, in a method for treating urinary incontinence, vaginal vault repair, posterior vaginal wall prolapse, anterior vaginal wall prolapse and inguinal hernia. The invention also provides a system including a surgical graft of the invention, one or more surgical fasteners, and a surgical fastening device having a shaft and configured to eject at least one of the surgical fasteners from the tip of the shaft.

    • A system and method are provided for thermally treating tissues in percutaneous surgery or endoluminal treatments. The system consists of at least one catheter for thermally treating a tissue, hydraulic unit for circulating fluids through the catheters and a control station by which an operator is displayed with, and inputs and/or modifies, working parameters of the system. The catheters have an operational face, which is optionally expandable and encloses a lumen through which the fluids are circulated. The method disclosed implements cooling of the targeted tissue prior to its heating. For heating and or cooling the tissues, the operational face of a catheter is pressed against a surface of the targeted tissue while heat emitted from or conducted to the tissue is respectively transferred into or from the circulated fluids.

    • A system for electro-stimulation of an internal organ or a mezothelial cavity wall covering. The system is installed within a cavity wall adjacent the organ or tissue to be stimulated, and in electrical communication therewith, but without necessarily being in physical contact with it. The system can be deployed using a minimally invasive surgical procedure. The system comprises one or more stimulation electrodes, one or more sensors outputting a signal in accordance with a physiological characteristic of the subject, and a controller for applying the stimulation in accordance with the sensor output. The electrodes or sensors are deployed using a thin delivery tube inserted into the desired region. The electrodes are carried to the deployment site attached to an inflatable balloon, passed uninflated down the delivery tube, and inflated after passage therethrough, thus deploying the electrode in the intended region. The inflated balloon holds the electrode(s) in place.
