摘要： A quick-connect coupling (20) having a tubular tube support (24), a sleeve (22) and a collet (30). The tubular tube support (24) includes a tube support portion (34) and a mounting flange (42) joined to the tube support portion (34). The sleeve (22) includes an inner surface diameter greater than an outer surface diameter of the tube (32) and an outer surface engaging an inner wall of a bore. The collet (30) includes an outer surface engaging the inner surface of the sleeve (22) and an inner surface diameter greater than an outer surface diameter of the tubular tube support 24 and slightly less than the outer surface diameter of the tube (32). The tube (32) is frictionally retained between the collet (30) and the tubular tube support (24) when the tube is inserted into the coupling (20).

The adapter (10) comprises a generally cylindrically shaped metal body (12) including a central longitudinal channel (14) and an inner (16) and outer (18) surface.
