摘要： A fat-binding composition contains an inclusion complex with a host molecule and a guest molecule. The guest molecule includes one or more amino acids, vitamins, flavorants or related compounds, rutin, betanin, derivatives thereof, and mixtures thereof. The fat-binding composition may be in the form of a tablet or powder, for example, and may be incorporated into a food or beverage product. If in the form of a powder or tablet, the composition may optionally contain a carbonation-forming component and may be dissolved in carbonated or non- carbonated water. The fat-binding composition may also be employed in a method for binding fat ingested by an animal which includes having the animal ingest the composition, or a food or beverage product containing the same.

The biologically active component may include an inclusion complex that is made up of a clathrate component and a complex- forming compound. The clathrate subcomponent may include amyloses or cyclodextrins. There is also a beverage and a method that improves cellular hydration in an animal, such as a human.

摘要： The invention provides for a novel cholesterol loaded insect cell membrane preparation having an increased cholesterol level as compared to physiological cholesterol levels of insect cell membranes or to control insect cell membrane preparations without cholesterol loading, wherein said cholesterol loaded membrane preparation comprises an ABC transporter protein having an increased substrate transport activity due to increased cholesterol level of the membrane. The invention also relates to reagent kits comprising the preparations of the invention. 摘要： A beverage composition promotes cellular hydration when ingested by a multicellular organism, and includes a carbohydrate clathrate component that includes cyclodextrin, in a concentration of 0.01-5% w/w. 摘要： The present invention relates to novel materials, particularly biomaterials, in form of a precipitate, comprising at least an anionic polymeric component which is as such soluble in water and an amphiphilic ammonium-type component, which precipitate is obtainable by a process including the following steps: contacting the anionic polymeric component and an cylcodextrin component in an aqueous medium, and adding to the mixture obtained in step 1 said amphiphilic ammonium-type component, wherein said components are present in amounts effective to form said precipitate, and preferably to corresponding precipitates additionally comprising said cycxlodextrin component. Both types of precipitates may optionally comprise one or more further components. The precipitates are particularly useful as controlled-release depot formulations suitable for long-lasting delivery of said further components. The further components incorporated into the precipitates can be pharmaceutical compounds, pesticides, agrochemicals, colorants, diagnostics, enzymes, foodstuffs etc.
