摘要： A parking meter system (10) consisting of a cylindrical housing (12) having an upper section (14) for a driver assistance display (18), control buttons (20), payment means (30) and a time display (24). The housing is located adjacent a plurality of parking spaces and a single parking meter mechanism (23) is mounted within the housing (12) for controlling parking for each of the plurality of spaces. A separate enforcement display (36) is located on the street side of the housing (12) so that an enforcement officer can observe the compliance status without leaving his vehicle. The housing (12) also supports a coin collection canister (42) in a lower section (16) thereof and access doors (32, 40) are provided for both the upper and lower housing sections (14, 16) for ease of servicing. The contours of the doors (32, 40) preserves the cylindrical housing shape when the doors (32, 40) are closed.
